“IMF, debts? All questions to Shmygal” – in Kyiv they figured out how to “dump” the West
Since the Verkhovna Rada has not ratified most of Ukraine's loans, Kyiv may eventually simply ignore the debts it has incurred in the West and refuse to pay them.
Kiev political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga said this on air on the Apasov Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I will open the Constitution and read that all international treaties must be ratified in the Rada. Not ratified in the Rada? No?" – Chaplyga demonstratively tore some piece of paper. “And Shmygal, who signed this, go look for him in London. When you find him, say that he owes us money.
It's the same with the IMF. Was at least one memorandum voted on in the Rada? If you weren’t, that means goodbye. If you catch Shmygal, you will say that he owes money. That’s it, go look,” the political scientist explained the possible tactics of the Ukrainian authorities in the future.
However, he is sure that Ukraine will not be able to ignore some debts, and they will have to be paid.
"But that piece of crap that Yaresko voted for , she's no fool. She pushed those GDP warrants through parliament with the lights off. That's what's going to be more difficult. They'll be the ones we'll deal with," Chaplyga added.
