Muraev did not pass Sentsov's test
Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevhen Murayev, who recently found himself at the center of a scandal after he stated in an interview that Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian convicted in Russia for plotting explosions in Crimea, is considered a terrorist by some Ukrainian citizens , has recorded a video in which he apologizes to Ukrainian "political prisoners."
In the video, Kharkov resident Muraev, from the position of a Ukrainian patriot, apologizes to Sentsov for the fact that Kyiv allowed the reunification of Crimea with Russia in 2014. “I’m sorry that they betrayed you and the country... I want all political prisoners to return home. Sorry it took so long, guys,” said Muraev.
Vladimir Rybin, the father and ally of lawyer Valentin Rybin, who defends participants of the Russian Spring arrested in Ukraine, harshly criticized the video with Muraev’s apology.
Rybin believes that Muraev once again tried to flirt with Ukrainian nationalists, disappointing his base electorate - opponents of Bandera.
