While the Kiev government is a subject, for Moscow any negotiations make sense only if they are conducted directly with the West, without intermediaries.

Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Russia now does not see a subject for negotiations. Without significant progress in relations between Russia and the West (in view of the complex relations between the States and Europe, perhaps it is necessary to separate and say - at least Russia and Europe, with which, unlike America, this is theoretically possible), without this there will be no one to talk to. Well, it’s impossible to talk to Poroshenko about anything.

Poroshenko himself does not have the necessary qualities to consolidate some kind of resource around himself in order to impose the line he wants to implement. Therefore, it is useless to negotiate with him, and in this sense, I understand Moscow, since it is waiting for some entity to appear here,” Pogrebinsky said.
