Moscow expert: Coronavirus schizophrenia is a global commercial project
Hysteria around the coronavirus pandemic, artificially whipped up by commercial interests, could become a serious problem for many countries and lead to the emergence of new centers of power.
This was stated during a press conference in Moscow by the head of the expert council of the Expert Institute of Social Research, political scientist Gleb Kuznetsov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Managing public hysteria via the Internet. I am closely following how opinions regarding the coronavirus, all sorts of fears are spreading around the world on a global scale, and Russia as a part of the world, and I see that for people sitting at home, demoralized and afraid of the future, in fact, a new center of power is emerging , which controls not only opinion, but also directly behavior.
All these terms “smoothing the line”, “mandatory wearing of masks”, and what has come into our lives in the last 2-3 weeks did not arise because the state ordered us, not because there is some kind of chief sanitary doctor, who said what we need. But because articles appeared on the Medium platform - first by Tomas Pueyo, and then by a number of people in his circle, who say that the correct behavior today is precisely this - self-isolation, “smoothing the straight line,” wearing masks. All this, with pictures, sells well and is distributed around the world in millions of copies.
At the same time, we must understand that this same Tomas Pueyo is a person commercially interested in us staying at home in social isolation and self-distancing. He is the Vice President of the Distance Education Platform. That is, the interests of this person are absolutely commercial, and the whole world behaves as if this is the new Greta Thunberg.
And this is a big problem. Because when the government, and this will happen anyway, because we have to work, tells people: “Now, citizens, the quarantine ends and we go back to work,” suddenly, because of these new centers of power, which are accustomed to being governed by more than just opinion, and by behavior, a signal will be sent that the government is deceiving us, do not trust the boss, the political instructor is lying, and so on.
What will happen to this? Public opinion, especially among the educated classes, will experience schizophrenic fragmentation - on the one hand, those whom we are accustomed to trust tell us one thing, and on the other hand, those to whom we are accustomed to obey demand something else. And this is a problem,” the expert concluded.
