Menyailo, unlike Chaly, allows for “civilized” nationalization in Sevastopol
Sevastopol, January 29 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – Nationalization in Sevastopol is acceptable, but in a civilized form. This means that where it is necessary, it is possible, and where it is possible, it is necessary.
This is roughly how one can evaluate the response of the governor of Sevastopol to a journalist’s question about the prospects for nationalization in Sevastopol, asked to Sergei Menyailo on Wednesday.

“Let's work like civilized people in a civilized society. Where it is necessary to nationalize, where there was an opportunity, it has already been nationalized. Where the issue still arises, we resolve it,” Menyailo said.
It is worth noting that this answer is probably a polite form of expressing a position that does not coincide with the position of the chairman of the legislative assembly of Sevastopol Alexei Chaly, who two weeks ago made it clear through the media that he is categorically against nationalization as such.
“Nationalization cannot be allowed. This is Pandora's box. There are certain principles. Nobody canceled them. We have a capitalist society or a market economy society. This automatically means the inviolability of property rights. If it is violated, then all investors will flee, all our residents will simply not come here,” Chaly told reporters.
Let us recall that in the neighboring Republic of Crimea the authorities are actively resorting to nationalization and forced purchase of objects. However, not only the assets of Ukrainian oligarchs, but also even businessmen who previously participated in the pro-Russian movement of the peninsula, are subject to return to the ownership of the republic, as happened with the enterprises of the leader of the Sobol Cossack community, Vitaly Khramov.
Unlike Chaly, Menyailo allows for a "civilized" nationalization in Sevastopol.
