Lukashenko called for preparations for war
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko again did not rule out his country’s participation in the war.
He stated this today at a meeting with the State Secretary of the Security Council and the Chairman of the KGB, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As for the Ministry of Defense, we have probably already approached improving the activities of our army several times. This is natural, depending on how events develop, what the future war is like, if, God forbid, there is one. We have probably improved the structure of our army's activities five times.
Just recently we made a decision on the Ministry of Emergency Situations, I think it will be serious and for a long time. Our border troops are probably the optimal structure. It takes into account both the experience of the Soviet era and the situation around us,” Lukashenko said.
On June 6, the President of Belarus did not rule out the participation of his country in the “hot” war.
At the end of May, Lukashenko predicted that Belarus would face “unprecedented and prolonged economic, political and even military pressure” as part of the global confrontation between Europe and NATO with Russia, and ordered the transfer of troops from the western to the southern border - with Ukraine.
