Lukashenko called himself a fighter for the independence of Belarus
According to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, he and the opposition have a common goal - achieving the sovereignty and independence of the country, but they achieve this using different methods.
He stated this at the first press conference after recent negotiations with Vladimir Putin in Sochi, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for sovereignty, independence. I often hear from your brother: “Lukashenko has intercepted the slogan of the Belarusian opposition.” Listen, how do you know my position? You don’t know it, because the differences between Lukashenko’s struggle for independence and our opposition are that they shouted a lot about it and tried to take this height by storm.
