In just one month, the debt of Ukrainians has reached a fantastic amount
Over two years, the number of Ukrainian recipients of subsidies for housing and communal services has decreased by half.
This was stated by Alexander Sergienko, director of the analytical research center "Institute of the City", at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

“If in the first 4 months of 2017 the number of subsidy recipients was more than 6 million, now it is about 3 million. All this is directly related to the debt of the population. A subsidy is given when there is no debt; when there is, the subsidy is removed. Budgetary expenditures to cover subsidies are almost the same as last year.
Why the Ministry of Social Policy, Mr. Reva, needed to save on three million Ukrainian households is not clear to me. All this simply caused an avalanche-like increase in debt. In one month, from January to February, it grew by 6 billion and reached a fantastic amount. This situation is dangerous, it destroys the housing and communal services industry,” Sergienko emphasized.
