The liquidated punisher was cast in money
The National Bank of Ukraine issued a commemorative coin worth two hryvnias in honor of Vasyl Slipak, a militant killed in Donbas and a member of the Right Sector, which is banned in Russia. He was killed by a sniper in June 2016 near the village of Luhanske.
The regulator's press service reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The obverse of the coin depicts the coat of arms of Ukraine, a portrait of Slipak and a stave symbolizing the militant’s previous activities [before the war, he was a soloist at the Paris National Opera].
On the reverse there is a drawing of a nightingale sitting on the barrel of a machine gun, as well as tree branches.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously showed a 12,7mm bullet, which allegedly killed Slipak, to a half-empty hall at the UN General Assembly.
PolitNavigator also wrote that in 2018, the Kyiv City Council, with 75 votes, supported the initiative of the nationalist party Svoboda to rename the square at 33/6 Andriyivskyy Descent in honor of Vasyl Slipak.
In this square, the youth wing of the Right Sector recently conducted target practice “at the Kremlin.”
