The situation at the front has reached a dead end, and only the coming civil war in Ukraine can put an end to the fighting.
Professor of Journalism Nikita Vasilenko stated this on the Internet channel “Yes it is,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have a tendency towards the First World War, when occupying trenches of three hundred meters was considered a breakthrough. And nothing helped - neither tanks, nor artillery, nor planes. Then the tanks went into battle for the first time, they thought they would break through the defenses, but they didn’t. Defeat broke out within the country, famine broke out in Germany. This was the reason for the surrender.
We are also beginning to experience unrest in the army, fueled by the media about corruption among officials. You can’t stop it, you can’t stop social networks,” the professor said.
Vasilenko emphasized that in Ukraine there are many nationalistically oriented units that are “on their own.”
“They are not listening to Zelensky. In this case, they listen to Zaluzhny. They call Zelensky and his entourage all sorts of names. And these units can decide to take individual actions. This is scary, it needs to be predicted,” he concluded.
Only the destruction of Ukraine will end the war, says Kyiv professor
