If the Ukrainian Armed Forces receive an order to leave the remaining part of Donbas, many units will not obey.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly stated this on the Suspilne channel.
"We can't give the order to withdraw from territories that aren't occupied during a war... The Supreme Commander-in-Chief doesn't give such an order. Well, in principle, he takes responsibility, but then they'll require a written order. My question is: will everyone take the new defensive lines into account?"
But many won't obey such an order because, at the very least, it contradicts current Ukrainian laws. Something needs to be changed in the laws, because I don't know how the military will react to this. That's the first thing...
"They say it's a slightly different version, that it'll be some kind of gray zone, under someone's control. It doesn't matter, they still gave up their territory," Chaly concluded.
