Kyiv, February 26 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – At the height of the economic crisis, the Kyiv City Hall intends to spend 4 million UAH on new signs for the renamed “Soviet” streets. Significant expenses incurred by the budget of the Ukrainian capital turned out to be overestimated several times.
The Kiev newspaper Den writes about this.

The publication explains that in the authorities’ project, the estimated cost of one house and signpost is 1480 hryvnia.
However, advertising agencies that the newspaper called (even before the latest collapse of the hryvnia) reported that the price of a sign ranges from 170 to 400 UAH, and for 500 you can generally order a three-dimensional sign with an artistic font and gilding.
The Day called several companies to find out which sign could cost one and a half thousand hryvnia. They explained to us that usually rarely anyone orders at this price, but if you want, you can come up with such a layout, such a finish that will cost three or four thousand hryvnia,” the newspaper writes.
