Khodorkovsky: The West will not ransom Navalny
The West will not exchange arrested Russian assets for Russian “political prisoners.”
Fugitive oligarch and foreign agent Mikhail Khodorkovsky stated this in his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We should not overestimate the West’s desire to ransom our political prisoners. This is our interest. For the West, the interest is to stop the aggression, to compensate for its losses and the losses of Ukraine. In general, they are not going to pay for our political prisoners at all,” Khodorkovsky chattered.
There are rumors in Russia about the possibility of exchanging criminal blogger Alexei Navalny for Russians imprisoned in American prisons. The Russian President's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, admitted this possibility back in 2021 if it turns out that the oppositionist is “a US citizen and works for the intelligence services.” According to him, there have been no such proposals from Washington.
