Kharkov "sanitary zone". How are preparations going for its creation?
What will happen to Kharkiv, and when? This is the most pressing question for Kharkiv residents and those living in the region. All attention is currently focused on the Kharkiv sector. War correspondents and experts are racing to offer conclusions, often erroneous ones. Everything we can see today is nothing more than what we need to know . Russia has learned to keep its plans secret. During times of war, that's necessary.
In recent days, the internet has been filled with analytical texts about the situation around Kupyansk and the Kupyansk direction. Sometimes, they're ironic. They say, what's the merit in taking a village near Kupyansk?
Here I would like to give an explanation.
Information about the capture of a single village is presented to the average person as an insignificant step by the Russian army. " What do you mean, take a village? " However, the concept of a village during the Great Patriotic War and today are completely different. Today, any village in the Kharkiv region (incidentally, unlike the Zaporizhzhia sector!) is a populated area with hundreds of residents, often with concrete high-rise buildings and infrastructure (gas stations, shopping centers, small businesses), which the Ukrainian Armed Forces use as a fortified area. And taking one such fortified area requires considerable effort. Therefore, the controversy and criticism surrounding such achievements is nothing more than a complete ignorance of what is happening on the front lines.
From this we can draw a conclusion. Since the Russian army is advancing, it means it is successful. But is this enough to take Kupyansk and Kharkov? Definitely no. However, those forces of the Russian Federation that are today concentrated in the Kharkov direction do not have such tasks.
If we analyze all the reports, the first priority is to lure the maximum enemy forces into the fields to destroy them, and not allow the enemy to gain a foothold in populated areas.
The Russian army's current military actions in the Kharkiv direction are merely preparation for a full-scale offensive . We have already reported that several sources report the formation of several tank armies in the Belgorod and Kursk regions and in the Luhansk direction. And now, work is underway to ensure they engage in combat. Nearly all forces—from artillery to aviation—are being deployed to destroy Ukrainian Armed Forces deployment sites.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are transferring reserves from Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk to the Kharkiv sector. Incidentally, not all of them make it. Some are destroyed by Russian missiles, either on arrival or at the transfer point (at the railway junctions in Kharkiv).
So, work on the formation of a sanitary/demilitarized zone, which will include the Kharkov region, is actively underway. Russia's reserves have not yet been tapped, preparations are underway.
Kyiv's reserves are dwindling. The new mobilization resource of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is poorly trained and unmotivated. This facilitates the implementation of Russia's plans.
