Karasev demands recognition of the loss of territories for the sake of preserving the remaining
Ukraine must understand and acknowledge the loss of its former territory, but not publicly abandon it. This will save most of the country, rather than continue unsuccessful military operations.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air during journalist Alexander Shelest's video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" This isn't about relinquishing territory, but rather about understanding that part of the territory will not be controlled by Ukraine. This recognition or understanding should preserve the majority of the territory, rather than, say, continuing active hostilities without tangible success or a clear vision of the future."
For example, as Western Germans, they never recognized the GDR and the Germans living in the GDR as a separate entity. And the German Constitution considered the Germans as its citizens, therefore it encouraged emigration, provided asylum, citizenship, and so on. This is not about giving up territory so that the country can come out of the war without losing its potential,” Karasev said.
