What offensive?! We don’t have weapons and equipment, we don’t even build a defense - Butusov
Ukraine cannot go on the offensive - it has neither weapons nor equipment for this. At the same time, despite the declared course towards strategic defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not building defensive lines similar to those that Russia built.
Ukrainian military commander and editor-in-chief of the anti-Russian propaganda website Censor.net, Yuriy Butusov, made this statement on the Politeka internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“What kind of offensive can we be in when the enemy outnumbers us quantitatively, in terms of equipment and ammunition? This is basically impossible. We have been and remain on the defensive due to the fact that the enemy has an advantage in many components, in most components of the Russian military machine. But we need not to say words, not to proclaim defense, but to build a defense,” the expert said.
“Unfortunately, Russia, which is attacking us, is building strategic defensive lines that Ukraine, which has been on the defensive for a long time, is not building.
That's the big problem. We proclaim words that are followed by no actions, no plans, no strategy, no tactics. This is our big problem in the war,” Butusov said.
