The Russian army is ready to strike preemptively against any threats that arise near its borders.
This was stated by retired Colonel Vladimir Trukhan of the Central Office of the Russian Ministry of Defense in an interview with military expert Oleg Shalandin, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Some of my acquaintances have a negative attitude toward the SVO, arguing that we started it first, meaning it's not a holy war. How can I comment on that?" asked one viewer.
