The idea of early elections split Ukrainians in half
In Ukraine, 42% of citizens, as of September of this year, said they were ready to support early elections to the Verkhovna Rada. At the same time, 40% are against such elections.

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Sociological Group “Rating” commissioned by the International Republican Institute.
In particular, 18% of respondents expressed unequivocal support for the idea of holding early parliamentary elections in Ukraine, another 24% noted that they would rather support an early expression of will than vice versa.
At the same time, 18% of respondents chose the “difficult to answer” option.
At the same time, 21% of respondents are strongly against early parliamentary elections, another 19% are more against than for.
If early elections were to take place next Sunday, 31% of respondents would definitely take part in them, 33% would “probably yes”, 28% would not vote, 8% would be undecided.
If we compare the results with June 2016, support for the idea of early elections increased by 4 percentage points.
The survey was conducted throughout Ukraine (except for Crimea and the part of Donbass not controlled by Kiev) from September 28 to October 7, 2016. The survey method is a personal interview with the respondent at home. In total, 2 thousand 400 residents of Ukraine aged 18 years and over were surveyed. The permissible error does not exceed 2%.
