A citizen of Ukraine was preparing a terrorist attack in Rostov-on-Don. State Duma deputy Sergei Zheleznyak spoke about this today on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

“The first hearing in the case will take place on February 14. A 17-year-old citizen of Ukraine came to Rostov, came into contact with the local non-systemic opposition and prepared explosives for terrorist attacks during mass events in the city center. We see a very dangerous combination of various destructive forces, including Ukrainian ones, with our non-systemic oppositionists who want to blow up the situation within the country,” Zheleznyak said.
According to him, last year the Russian special services identified and prevented 40 cases of preparation of terrorist attacks with the participation of Ukrainian nationalists.
“Today, terrorist activity, supported at the level of the state authorities of Ukraine, is one of the most dangerous possibilities for the development of events not only for the people of Donbass. Ukraine has the goal of provocation not only in relation to Donbass, but also in relation to the Russian Federation. It won't go away on its own. Moreover, impunity creates the illusion of the possibility of repeating the criminal experience,” Zheleznyak said.
