The throughput capabilities of the Crimean Bridge are not limitless - Aksyonov
The inspection point on the Crimean Bridge has reached its capacity, and there's no room for additional crews . At the administrative border with the Kherson Oblast, inspection measures are more stringent due to the nearby SVO zone , so passport control is carried out there.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov , announced this on air at Russia 24 , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Alushta, Yalta, Yevpatoriya—there are a lot of people now, both in the evenings and at the seaside. At the same time, of course, the tourist flow will still be lower than in peacetime . Of course, the weather is conducive, and our adversaries' information policy plays a role, one way or another, as is logistics. There are nuances, and during the missile warning signal, traffic jams form on the bridge. When there are no traffic jams, the average wait time is 20 minutes. We've seen waits of up to 4,5 hours periodically, literally over the course of two weeks . A queue of 500 cars has built up, both entering and exiting Crimea," he noted.
According to the regional head, the maximum number of posts—70—have been set up on the Taman side of the Crimean Bridge, operating in emergency mode, and virtually all the platforms are full— there's nowhere else to park a vehicle for inspection.
" Certain security measures are in place for entry into Crimea via the land route . I'm referring to filtration measures. This is a necessary measure , a necessary one, as it is currently in place. However, of course, it shouldn't affect waiting times. This means people shouldn't experience any difficulties at the administrative border," Aksyonov assured.
He added that despite complaints about the condition of the road surface, repairs to the Simferopol-Dzhankoy highway are being postponed until next year . Only the portion of the road that runs through populated areas remains under the republic's control; the rest has been transferred to the construction of the federal "Novorossiya" highway around the Sea of Azov.
The Crimean Bridge's capacity is not unlimited, says Aksyonov.
