Russia is waging a war against Ukraine, and therefore Russophobia in Ukrainian society is completely justified.

This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “New Time” by the head of the Association of Jewish Organizations and Communities of Ukraine Joseph Zissels.
“The situation with Russian aggression leads to the fact that xenophobia on the part of right-wing radicals and others is channeled into Russophobia. And this is a normal and natural phenomenon, absolutely justified, because Russia is waging war against us, Zissels believes. – But there wasn’t that much negative energy, xenophobic and homophobic. Ukrainian society is not prone to radicalism.”
At the same time, a representative of the Jewish community of Ukraine said that Israeli President Reuven Rivlin’s accusations against the OUN are “not only incorrect, but also absurd,” since there is no evidence “of the OUN’s participation in the executions at Babyn Yar.”
It is worth noting that Rivlin in his speech did not link the OUN specifically to Babi Yar, but was talking about involvement in the extermination of Jews throughout Ukraine.
