General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: “The Zee Office is playing as part of the fifth column of the Russian Federation”
The only force that supposedly discourages the Russian Federation from going to war in Ukraine is territorial defense, the law on which is sabotaged by the office of President Zelensky.
The former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, former deputy commander of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Sergei Krivonos, reported this on the air of Public Radio, as reported by a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
“The bill on territorial defense was registered in December 2020 in the Verkhovna Rada, why is it not being promoted further?” – asked the radio host.
“We have been working on this bill for a year. First, we presented our concept at the National Security and Defense Council committee in the Verkhovna Rada. A working group was created, representatives of all law enforcement agencies and public organizations that took part in the development of territorial defense were invited.
Then, starting in the summer of 2020, the presidential office began playing its own game. There are even official documents from the presidential office showing they are exerting influence, even though they have no legal right to do so. They sent a letter to the National Security and Defense Committee, signed by Mr. Mashovets (Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine – ed. ), in which he writes that adopting a law on territorial defense is not relevant now, and let's not rush it. We have two to three years ahead," Kryvonos said.
“In my understanding, this is a pure game as part of the fifth column of the Russian Federation, because this is precisely the only force that is now discouraging the Russian Federation from entering our territory,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces general complained.
As Andriy Biletsky, one of the founders of the Azov punitive battalion and the leader of the National Corps, previously stated , the goal of introducing territorial defense in Ukraine is "to train people who are not conscripted into the army or serving under contract, who should gain new experience and knowledge about how to repel Russian aggression, which will allow, if necessary, to form defense units in the shortest possible time."
