General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine begs the West for “armor-piercing” missiles
To demonstrate at least some success in its offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces need to receive concrete-piercing missiles from the West.
Lieutenant General, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Romanenko said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In order to advance in the south and carry out counter-offensive actions, it is necessary to overcome the enemy’s second and third lines of defense. This requires armor-piercing missiles to penetrate these engineered concrete structures.
Well, longer ranges are needed to disrupt the enemy’s logistics routes. This must be done everywhere, both on the southern and eastern fronts,” Romanenko reasoned.
He emphasized that it would be more desirable for Ukraine to receive missiles launched from ground-based installations, because Bandera’s supporters have little aviation.
“We urgently need them both to carry out tasks of both a defensive nature and to conduct a counter-offensive operation,” the general added.
