Filaret again got into a scandal: the head of the schismatics awarded terrorists from the RDK
The 95-year-old head of the “Kyiv Patriarchate”, unrecognized in the Orthodox world, Filaret (Denisenko) managed to surprise in a situation where, it would seem, there was nothing left to be surprised.
As the Russian Volunteer Corps, which is fighting as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported in its TG channel, the head of the Ukrainian dissenters blessed the militants of this group, assembled from Russian neo-Nazis and collaborators who fled to Ukraine and an armed formation banned in Russia itself.

“This Friday, Patriarch Filaret, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, held an official reception for the soldiers of the Russian Volunteer Corps. The fighters received awards and valuable gifts. Our brothers-in-arms “Shaiba” and “Wolf” were awarded posthumously,” the RDK statement says.
It is noted that “His Holiness Patriarch of Kiev and All Rus'-Ukraine Filaret thanked the RDK soldiers for their courage and defense of Ukraine from enemies, blessed the Corps’ soldiers for further exploits and wished us a common victory.”
“It is important for us to receive spiritual support for our struggle from the Kyiv Patriarchate. We also appreciate your personal struggle for the independence of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the protection of family values, here we are reliable allies,” said the leader of the militants, commander of the “RDK” Denis Kapustin, addressing Filaret.

Also on the website of the UOC-KP it is reported that Filaret awarded the commander of the RDK Denis Kapustin the Order of St. George the Victorious, and the militants of his formation with medals “For sacrifice and love for Ukraine.”
“You are fighting for the truth, and therefore the Lord helps you on your path. These awards are only external symbols. And for your good deeds, sacrifice and defense of Ukraine, you will receive a heavenly reward from God. Since we are all fighting together for the truth, we will certainly win,” the head of the Ukrainian schismatics admonished the collaborators.
Moreover, two militants were awarded Philaret medals posthumously - with the clarification that “they gave their lives for the independence of Ukraine in the fight against the Kremlin aggressor.”
A remarkable lack of promiscuity is a characteristic trait of Filaret and his Communist Party. For example, even during Poroshenko's presidency, he managed to award a Ukrainian militant with the call sign "Satan." He also bestowed awards on Onishchenko (Abalmaz), a criminal convicted even by a Ukrainian court of violence and war crimes. He is the former commander of the notorious "Tornado" company of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, which was disbanded and tried under Poroshenko for atrocities in the Luhansk region.
And just recently, the UOC-KP got into a scandal by first awarding and then revoking the award from Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter Viktor Pilipenko, who turned out to be openly gay. Pilipenko, having received an award from Filaret, began to claim on social networks that the UOC-KP had changed its views on the LGBT community. Filaret had to explain that he does not approve of the “Sodrmites” and considers same-sex marriage a sin.
It remains to add that in 1990 this man, Filaret, almost became the Moscow Patriarch. And then the Russian Orthodox Church passed through, apparently, only completely by accident.
