“Right now the most discussed topic is the encirclement and assault of Artyomovsk. This, roughly speaking, is a fiasco for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, after such “remarkable actions”, as they call it, when they “liberated” Kherson, but in fact ours simply left it in order to save the lives of both civilians and military personnel, then some Kharkov region, and they naturally need to distract their society from this by taking Crimea,” the expert believes.

– None of the male population wants to go to fight for Ukraine, because they know what awaits them, because they see what the situation is at the front, and therefore the society needs to be told, look, we are now going to Crimea.

As a military man, I’ll tell you, no one will voice their plans in advance, like this, “we’re going to go to Crimea, we’re going to cut this road there, we’re going to cut these arms supply routes, disrupt logistics.” That’s not how it’s done.”

The help of Western curators and partners, according to the military, is declarative in nature.

“The Americans themselves say that in order to transfer F-16 aircraft to Ukraine, it is necessary to train people to fly these aircraft, to train pilots, and this will take at least 5 years,” Smirnov noted. – We see that even the Western so-called partners are slowly “merging” Ukraine, because they understand that it cannot win by military means, and unless NATO enters into a direct conflict.

But NATO is not so stupid as to enter into a direct conflict, and the European NATO countries generally do not want to have a conflict on their territory over Ukraine.”

However, there is panic in Crimea, especially in that part of society that is accustomed to watching news on social networks.

“Of course, there is some small panic in society, which is far from the situation, watching and relying only on information sources from television or Internet resources. They may, of course, be subject to some kind of panic and believe the misinformation that the enemy is spreading. But I am sure that our society, in principle, and the command are completely ready for this,” Smirnov concluded.
