This is prohibited in Ukraine: St. George Ribbon Day is celebrated in Donbass
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, sent an appeal to the residents of the republic on the occasion of the Day of the St. George Ribbon, a symbol that was banned in Ukraine by the nationalist pro-American regime that seized power.
“For all of us, residents of Donbass, the St. George Ribbon is a symbol of the Great Victory, a symbol of courage, valor and courage of our people. And in 2014, it acquired special significance for us, becoming a connecting link between generations, a demonstration of the cohesion and unity of the Russian world.
Defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic, attaching the St. George Ribbon to their uniforms and weapons, repelled the enemy and defended the freedom and independence of our country. And each of our victories proves that we are the descendants of winners.
The duty of each of us is to preserve the memory and traditions of our ancestors; we will not allow anyone to rewrite history. As long as history is alive, truth and justice are in our hearts, our country has a happy future!” says Pushilin’s address.
