“This is an obsession” - a Ukrainian psychologist compared Zelensky to Hitler in the bunker
The office of the President of Ukraine is afraid to object to the obsessive and self-absorbed Vladimir Zelensky, and the situation has already become so unhealthy that it is reminiscent of the film “The Bunker” about the last days of Adolf Hitler.
Ukrainian psychologist Oleg Khomyak said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They are constantly trying to present this a la “hard diplomacy” of the president, when he says “fucking Putin”, and with some “you owe us”, “you owe us” and everything else, as something very cool and cool . They are trying to build such a cool and cool guy - to show us here. But I look at the other side of the coin: no one is in a hurry to give us too many weapons, we are not flooded with F-16s and everything else,” the presenter noted.
She asked how effective such diplomacy is in the world, and whether Zelensky’s team should “come to their senses.”
“It’s impossible to come to your senses. It's an obsession. Second, this is not diplomacy. That is, Zelensky’s system of power is connected with the fact that he subordinates competence everywhere to his interests. Therefore, we do not have diplomacy in its pure form, we have Zelensky. Naturally, further with his authoritarian approach, people form around him, because you can’t say bad things (this is a traditional thing - a totalitarian, authoritarian leader, advisers around him), because they are afraid. As a result, the leader loses his independent view and further immerses himself in his own fantasies. ...He is an actor, and he counts on it, and diplomacy is already serving the show.
Secondly, we are talking about a product that Zelensky is accustomed to - this is the level of “Servant of the People”, a product of a certain level, so it operates at this level. He simply does not suspect that this kind of product, for example, in Ukraine, may be watched, but in the West, probably, they will not be watched. That is, if you watch the series “Servant of the People,” it’s a splicing of unrelated stories, pure schizophrenic reality,” Khomyak said.
According to him, the problem is that Zelensky is so closed in his own ideas that he considers such a presentation “beautiful” and does not even try to put himself in the position of others and look at himself from the outside.
“What does it look like when, with a massive accusation of corruption, you declare that we have no corruption, we have defeated corruption. You just look stupid. But no one from the environment can say “don’t say this,” because they are probably afraid. They tell you that we don’t believe, and you begin to reinforce this “Putin is a terrorist.” For us, he is a terrorist, and other states negotiate with him, they are afraid of nuclear weapons and something else. And in general, they have plans, they have China, and they have a completely different interest.
Well, fit in, think about these plans and schemes, find a place where you can influence. No. Well, of course it doesn't work. This is good for the internal picture, but we are interested in Western partners. For example, at the beginning of a war, the president appears in international communities in military uniform. Yes, it was adequate. But then it already looks like a show. Put on a suit, especially since you look great in a tuxedo,” says the psychologist.
However, according to him, Zelensky does not want to hear anything, and a split is brewing in the team. The psychologist gave the example of one of the films, where one of the characters, a “mafia psychopath,” said that even he needs a person on his team who will tell the truth, “a calm, independent opinion.”
“This is coming from a psychopath and a thug who understands that there needs to be someone nearby who will [express] a calm, independent opinion. Well, in The Godfather this consigliere was there. And this is a criminal structure that is concerned about security. And when such people are removed, we get an unhealthy situation.
But when, in this unhealthy situation, Time magazine (article about Zelensky by Simon Schuster - ed.) says that some people within this team do not agree, this suggests that disintegration is already beginning there. I won’t now, to avoid injury, cite bad examples from films about bunkers, but this has already been shown,” concluded Khomyak.
