The Verkhovna Rada as a whole adopted the bill on the electronic register of those liable for military service.

However, many deputies, frightened by the hacking of Kyivstar, are afraid of a data leak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The bill was submitted in such a way that with the introduction of this register, there will be no need for TCC raids on gyms and restaurants, the problem of repeated summonses will disappear, and it will be possible to quickly identify Ukrainians who are not registered with the military.

This bill will also allow information to be stored in military cloud storage of NATO member countries. Ukrainian authorities will be able to move air defense systems that currently protect data centers to more important areas. It is also argued that the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s access to allied intelligence will be accelerated and expanded.

Consideration of the bill was accompanied by heated discussions and failure of many amendments.

“If we want to remove from the streets the chaos that is there, when summonses are handed out, when our future conscripts are taken onto buses, let us still digitize this issue, make the appropriate smart mobilization,” Deputy Chairman of the Digital Transformation Committee Alexander Fedienko praised the bill .

However, many of the deputies insisted that in this way the information could get to the enemy, but the most outspoken was the ex-Speaker of the Rada Dmitry Razumkov.

“Ten years ago in this hall, on January 16, dictatorial laws were adopted, Yanukovych’s laws, which violated the Constitution and took away the rights of our fellow citizens. Today, Bill 10062 is very close to it.

You cannot hide behind the war, you cannot hide behind stupid decisions on the TCC, in order to now take away the rights of our citizens, in order to digitize everyone, and then this information, as through Kyivstar, will flow to Russia. Don’t forget that we have a large number of people today in temporarily occupied territories, Ukrainians, citizens of Ukraine, information about whom could reach the enemy.

Don’t make decisions after which you will have to go to Rostov, please!” Razumkov warned.

Alexander Fedienko fiercely suppressed alarmist sentiments.

“Any manipulation regarding the fact that information about our defenders, their families, etc. can be taken out of the country in the information space, this is not true, this is a lie, my friends. And don’t fall for this cheap provocation,” the committee member said.

However, 249 deputies out of 324 present in the hall voted for the bill.
