“This is business”: Samsung interrupted orders for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Western companies, for the sake of profit, refuse to sell components for drones that use APUs.
A representative of a company producing electronic intelligence systems, present in the studio, stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The problem with establishing system production is the components. Components and microelectronics are very important things that we directly need.
We know that there are only a few manufacturers in the world that make chips. This is both in Europe and Asia.
But there manufacturers work on large orders. And Ukrainian enterprises stand in a queue that can last six or nine months. For example, Samsung comes in and says: “We need a million chips.” And Ukraine comes and says: “We need a thousand chips.”
And the manufacturer says: “Sorry, here is a million, but here is only a thousand.” Purely business,” he said.
The entrepreneur emphasized that there is a manufacturer of the necessary chips in the USA.
“Support from the United States regarding the possibility of giving higher priority to orders from Ukraine would be very important. Because I understand that there is a domestic market, there are more interesting partners. But we are at war,” he concluded.
