The expert studied the reports of the Western military-industrial complex: Kyiv will not see weapons
The Western military-industrial complex has not yet increased its capacity in order to supply Ukraine with weapons.
Geostrategist Andrei Shkolnikov stated this in his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Now there is an attempt to transfer Western technology, but there is not much of it, and - I’ll say something amazing - there won’t be any. I looked at industrial production in the USA and other countries. I selectively looked at VPKashnye companies, which in any case should participate. They have quarterly reports. And you know, nothing has changed for them over the past two years. Their quarterly revenue follows the same dynamics. The plus-minute difference is several percent. I’ll translate it into Russian: the military-industrial complex has not been launched in the West,” Shkolnikov said.
He explains this by the fact that the Western military-industrial complex is built on capitalist principles. Enterprise owners do not benefit from mass production of inexpensive and effective products; they prefer “universal” products with high costs.
“The result is a universal machine that is inferior in its class to absolutely all highly specialized ones. It’s like a decathlete: in each specific sport he loses, but if you run it as a whole... So the problem is that they don’t live on the battlefield as a whole,” Shkolnikov said.
Unlike Russia, where the state can force producers to increase capacity, Western capitalists refuse to work with low profitability. The expert believes that the Western military-industrial complex will be able to increase its turnover only by the end of 2024, but this is not certain.
