Ex-comrade of Yanukovych: “Legitimate” Zelensky will disrupt the lifting of sanctions against Russia
The inauguration of the elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on May 20 gives him the opportunity to talk on equal terms with European politicians, because he will take office before the elections to the European Parliament.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy of several convocations, Serhiy Grinevetsky, announced this on air on the Odessa internet resource "Media Inform", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

According to the politician, it is important for a legitimate president to “speak on equal terms” with the West because Europe wants to lift sanctions from Russia.
“I am very pleased that they accepted the inauguration on the 20th. Because elections to the European Parliament will take place on the 23rd. Europe is very unpredictable in its choices. We don't know what the European Parliament will be like. But I know one thing: today European structures would very much like the tension between Russia and Ukraine to be eased. First of all, due to the fact that Russia is the main supporter of this entire gathering in terms of its contributions. It is very important that before the European Parliament elections we will already have a legitimate president. He will already be able to become a player, this is an extremely important point,” said Grinevetsky.
