“Two hundred thousand killed” – Moscow praised the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attempt to break through to Mariupol
To solve the main declarative task of the Ukrainian “counter-offensive” and the entry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into Mariupol, the Kyiv regime will have to ruin at least two hundred thousand lives of its citizens.
Military correspondent Marat Khairullin stated this on the PolitWera internet blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we estimate the level of losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, there are twenty thousand killed per nine kilometers [of the occupied territory], then to walk one hundred kilometers to Mariupol, this does not take into account the battles for large cities and villages, and you need to kill about two hundred thousand people,” the military correspondent said.
Khairullin emphasized that the Ukrainian army cannot afford such losses - this is about half or a third of its total strength.
“They now have an estimated army of three hundred to four hundred thousand at the front. This is a very low figure for them; it turns out that we have already reduced them by half. [Before the offensive] they declared about a million people on the front line. And our estimate was seven hundred thousand. And now, imagine how much they have already lost.
And in order to gnaw through our defenses in only one direction, it is clear from two months of fighting that the Ukrainians can only move in a narrow corridor; they do not have enough strength for a wide front,” he concluded.
