Donbass warned Zelensky: We are ready to respond with force of arms
Vladimir Zelensky, in the traditions of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko, is trying to simulate the implementation of peace agreements on Donbass, while at the same time not stopping the shelling of the territory of the LDPR, which the Ukrainian army continues. To believe that the Donbass republics will not be able to respond with force of arms is a fatal mistake for Kyiv.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Public Movement “Donetsk Republic”, told PolitNavigator about this.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy stated that the territories of Donbas not controlled by Kyiv are included in the long-term decentralization plans. With this, Mr. Zelenskyy and his "servants" are once again attempting to substitute the fulfillment of the requirements for permanently securing special status for the DPR and LPR, which is directly stipulated by the Minsk agreements.
It is these attempts by the Ukrainian side to reinterpret the unambiguous provisions enshrined in a document that has international status that have led to the fact that the conversation on the contact line is still in the language of guns. Conscientious implementation of the Minsk agreements by Kiev five years ago could have put an end to this and transferred the resolution of the conflict to the diplomatic plane.
But history abhors the subjunctive mood, and Zelenskyy, continuing Poroshenko's line, is unsuccessfully trying to persuade Donbas to capitulate on Kyiv's terms. Over the years, it should have become clear that we are capable of defending our interests with both force of arms and the power of words . Therefore, no amount of subterfuge on the Ukrainian side will force Donetsk and Luhansk to retreat from their responsible mission of realizing the hopes and dreams of the people of Donbas.
