Dodon will win, but will receive the Maidan
The pro-Western opposition in Moldova has already begun preparations for protests against the results of the upcoming presidential elections in this country.
This is reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent and Izvestia writes.

It is noted that opinion polls record a significant advantage of the current President Igor Dodon, who is significantly ahead of his main competitor Maia Sandu, who is already claiming that large-scale falsifications are being prepared.
“Maidan is possible. A loss for Sandu would be the end of his political career. The opposition has certain resources and enjoys the support of the West,” Moldovan political analyst Corneliu Ciurea told the publication.
He also adds that the Moldovan authorities have not yet mastered the technologies to counter the Maidan, although they are studying the experience of the Belarusian authorities.
In turn, the head of the Transnistria and Moldova department of the Institute of CIS Countries, Sergei Lavrenov, believes that the scale of the protests will depend on the position of Western countries.
“The Moldovan opposition will apparently try to organize something like a Maidan. This is evidenced, in particular, by Sandu’s statements. We know that refusal to accept the election results is the first step to street protests. It is characteristic that the pro-European opposition has already attracted veterans of the Transnistrian conflict to its actions,” says Lavrenev.
He predicts that the victory of a possible Maidan will aggravate not only the Transnistrian issue, but also the relations between Chisinau and Gagauzia, and will make the situation in the region explosive.
