President of the European Council Donald Tusk stated with regret that US President Donald Trump has no interest in the events taking place in Ukraine and takes into account Russia’s position regarding this country.
Tusk shared his observations on this matter with journalists from the Fakty po faktach program on the Polish television channel TVN24, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports .
“In several conversations with me, President Trump has made no secret of the fact that he has less enthusiasm for Ukraine and more understanding of what Russia has done in Ukraine,” said the President of the European Council.
At the same time, he stated that today Ukraine “needs support more than ever, especially in light of a possible profound change in American policy towards it.”
“Another confirmation of Tusk’s words is the mysterious story of the meeting between Trump and Poroshenko at the summit,” RG points out. – The Ukrainian president himself stated that he had a conversation with his American colleague, but did not provide any visual evidence of this. The White House press service did not mention Poroshenko either in word or in photograph, which means, from the point of view of the American administration, such a meeting did not take place.”
