Income declarations of SBU employees will remain classified
Acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov spoke out against declassifying the declarations of SBU employees, a correspondent reports. PolitNavigator.
This was reported by the Kiev publication Inforesist.

“This is not a simple question, that is, I am a person who must act in accordance with the law. According to the law, I do not have to file my return. If there are changes, then of course I will file a declaration. To be honest, the first thing I tried to do was publish my declaration. But they explained to me, you know, if you are a civilian, you were, then in principle there is no need to worry, but take into account the fact that the service employs people who directly encounter the enemy every day. If they publish such declarations, they could endanger the lives of their loved ones,” the publication quotes Bakanov.
He added that he would release his declaration over time.
“I have nothing to hide,” Bakanov said.
He also noted that the declarations of the leadership of the SBU will not be declassified.
Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Center called on Bakanov to cancel the “secret” procedure for declaring the heads of the SBU, to make their declarations public and to declare himself.
In October 2017, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv refused to declassify the declarations of SBU employees at the request of the Anti-Corruption Center.
