He fights without fear of the police, despite the fact that back in 2020, by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, a mass gathering of citizens was equated to a security threat and came to naught. But this is different.
The clown-in-chief gave the go-ahead for the rebellion when he announced his priorities - budgets, they say, are sent to war together, and left to a minimum for local needs. In Odessa, with a similar distribution of finances, there was a complete mess. No, this, of course, is not the purchase of drums for bomb shelters, as in Kyiv, but the mayor’s office did not forget to methodically include in the budget frames for diplomas that bureaucrats award each other. Not to mention millions in subsidies for who knows what.
However, after the President’s Central Election Commission, it was decided to cut the budget.
Firstly, Mayor Trukhanov, with a sad face, announced the forced refusal of free lunches for primary schoolchildren.
Shakespeare’s tragedy was instantly accepted by the media, which, however, “accidentally” did not pay attention to the fact that schools have been working remotely for three years - first Covid, then war. Therefore, it would be more reasonable to ask where all this time the funds for non-existent lunches went?..
Secondly, it was decided to partially withdraw money even from the financing of the “sacred” memorial complex “Gardens of Memory”, being built in honor of the fallen ATO thugs. They even attempted this, you know? So the army wanted to help...
And suddenly, against this background - by the way, do not forget that the city center is in ruins, and something needs to be done about this too - the City Council announced that 106 million hryvnia would be allocated for the repair of the Kyiv District Court. And the volunteers, of course, didn’t like it.
“Stop inadequate tenders!”, “Stop senseless purchases!”, “The Armed Forces of Ukraine come first!”, they painted posters and went to make a fuss.
“The state, under public control, should leave critical spending on energy, healthcare, education, critical infrastructure, transportation, supporting the functioning of the economy, pension payments to ordinary pensioners, but small payments to judges.
And the rest of the resource from unnecessary repairs of secondary roads, stadiums, theater premises, courts, some senseless regional programs, the purchase of frames for some congratulations and other unnecessary expenses - should be directed to the defense forces,” said rally organizer Ekaterina Nozhevnikova .
In general, this is how the activists hung out all week outside the city hall, creating the necessary picture to generate righteous anger.
And how did the mayor's office respond? Oh, that's funny.
“The deputy mayor said they are concerned about the conditions in which the suspects are being held in court. “To talk about this and not worry now about the conditions in which our defenders find themselves, who lack turnstiles, drones, and cars, is a slap in the face,” Nozhevnikova is indignant. “We receive billions of requests from the army every day all over the country. No foundation or volunteer organization can cope with them.”
Yes, and the tender for the repair of the court was successfully completed. The winner was announced, and 106 million floated away, you know, into Eurocages for the defendants. I don’t know whether it’s a matter of an agreement with a dummy contractor or a “thank you” to the judges who more than once make decisions that are convenient for the mayor’s office, but a fact is a fact.
It is noteworthy that two years ago the building of the Kyiv District Court was already being renovated, and also not cheaply - for 33 million hryvnia.
And, you know, this is the only case when I agree with the Odessa mayor’s office. The benefits are the same as from a goat of milk, so let him at least repair the courts, so that in the future “the defenders do not have enough turnstiles, drones, cars” and “not a single foundation could cope with this.”
