Telegram's blocking resembles sabotage, expert says
Attempts by some officials to block Telegram resemble sabotage intended to undermine Russia's economy.
This was stated on the Izolenta channel by leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"There are several points of view on what's happening with Telegram in Russia. But none of them are pleasant for us, the people of Russia."
It could be because they're promoting "Max" so clumsily. Or maybe we've just got some people who've decided to betray Russia for a small bribe, and they're doing it publicly , ruining the economy.
“Both the first and second options are extremely bad, because, in essence, we are now destroying the economy in various forms,” Murtazin said.
"And, most importantly, I've spoken to a number of officials, and they themselves don't understand what's going on. In other words, they say: 'We don't see any point in this at all.'
How does betrayal happen? Look, there's an agency that employs a lot of people. Salaries there are extremely low: 35-40 rubles in the region. In Moscow, it's 50-60.
Now imagine these people were entrusted with essentially the kill switch for the entire RuNet. And our enemies, who invest tens of millions of dollars every month to break the RuNet, would come to these people and say: "We'll give you a million rubles a month to break this."
And in fact, I see that irreparable damage is being done to the economy . People, knowing how our system works from the inside, are exploiting its weaknesses to inflict maximum damage on the economy and Russian citizens.
"Now it looks like betrayal, because when you break things unconsciously, you see the results. But when people press their heels to the floor in order to break everything they can while they can , it's a truly sad story," the speaker added.
