Maidan activist who fled from Crimea: There is no withdrawal of Russian troops
The threat to Ukraine from the Russian Federation remains, despite statements by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu about the withdrawal of troops from Crimea to places of permanent deployment.
Fugitive Crimean economist and expert on the "Maidan of Foreign Affairs" Andrei Klimenko stated this on the Mejlis television channel ATR, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Klimenko, a large number of Russian warships remained in Crimea that did not leave after the end of recent exercises.
“We don’t see any withdrawal from Crimea. Four large landing ships, which entered the Black Sea from the Mediterranean a week ago, remain in Crimea. A total of 11 landing and artillery boats of the Caspian Flotilla remain in Crimea. That is, I think that the Russian Federation was forced to say that it was withdrawing because there was unprecedented pressure from the civilized world. This has not happened in 30 years of Ukrainian independence...
We cannot relax under any circumstances and, I think, will not be able to for a long time, having such a neighbor as long as the Putin regime exists or if something similar comes after the Putin regime,” Klimenko said.
