Ukraine, although quite strict self-isolation measures have been introduced there, will support Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who ignores WHO recommendations, in his desire to hold a military parade on May 9, because symbols traditional for Russia will not be used there.
Roman Tsymbalyuk, a propagandist for the Ukrainian publication "Unian" based in Moscow, announced this on his YouTube channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We, Ukrainians, respect the position of the Belarusian state, in fact, on any issue. If they want to host a parade and consider it possible, then please do so.
Moreover, it should be noted that parades in Belarus are not held under the St. George ribbons, with which the Russian invaders occupied Crimea and Donbass. They have a ribbon in the color of the state flag of the Republic of Belarus.
By the way, it’s exactly the same with the Kazakhs. They seem to be the closest allies of the Russian Federation, but they distance themselves from the St. George’s Ribbon,” Tsymbalyuk said.
Let's recall that yesterday Lukashenko stated that Russians are jealous that Minsk will host the May 9th parade, but there is no negativity from their "Ukrainian brothers."
In recent years, the Belarusian authorities, under various pretexts, have limited the implementation of the “Immortal Regiment” people's initiative. Instead, their own official campaign “Belarus Remembers” was established.
The organizing committee for the creation of the public organization “Immortal Regiment” has already been refused three times by the registration authority - the Main Department of Justice of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
At one time, Viktor Yanukovych, after coming to power, also under pressure from Ukrainian nationalists, abandoned the St. George Ribbon, replacing it with yellow-blue material - these were the flags that were hung during the Great Patriotic War by collaborators in the Nazi-occupied territories of the Ukrainian SSR.
