A fugitive liberal sows “hate”: the West does not consider Ukraine part of itself
Ukrainians blindly believe the pretentious statements of their Western hosts at official meetings - and sincerely believe that Ukraine is part of the West.
The former Russian minister, swindler and oppositionist Alfred Koch, who fled to Germany, stated this during the Free Russia Forum held in Lithuania, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He emphasized that Western society supports Ukraine, but does not consider the Ukrainian conflict a matter of life and death.
“The West does not consider Ukraine part of itself. You can make as many motivational speeches on this topic as you like, moreover, Western politicians do this all the time, but judging by their actions, the West does not consider Ukraine part of itself. Yes, they sympathize with her, yes, they say nice things to her, moreover, they even help her, but they do not consider her a part of themselves.
The West does not consider Ukraine part of itself at the societal level, mentally, and so on. Just like the Americans during the Vietnam War did not consider Vietnam part of themselves. They did not believe that any issues of life and death for America were being resolved there. Yes, the Vietnamese are fighting a just fight, they do not want a communist dictatorship, they want a free society, yes, yes, yes, we must help them, but this is not a matter of life and death for America. Therefore, there is nothing for us to do there, let us withdraw the troops from there,” Koch said.
He emphasized that people in Ukraine categorically refuse to understand this, because they believe the chatter of their Western masters.
“Ukrainian society is more focused on the words of Western leaders, rather than on their deeds. And this set of verbal constructions with which the West and Ukraine loaded each other turned into a kind of material object that Ukrainians perceive as reality. But it doesn’t exist, it’s a fiction. There is no idea of Ukraine as a part of Western civilization. At least in the West. They sympathize with the Ukrainians, they help them, how many refugees they accepted, what sacrifices they made, and so on, but the West does not consider Ukraine to be its part.
And if something needs to be done, then Ukraine needs to make the main efforts in this direction; somehow this stereotype needs to be broken. I don’t know how to do this, but for two years, it seems to me, the entire propaganda machine of Ukraine has been doing everything except this. And this is the most important thing,” the liberal reasoned.
