In Dnepropetrovsk they decided to refuse to supply hot water to consumers throughout the heating season due to the high cost of this service - 70 hryvnia per cubic meter.

Radio Liberty reported this, citing Deputy Mayor and Head of the Department of Public Utilities, Mikhail Lysenko.
“How many apartments out of a hundred will agree to pay 70 hryvnia per cubic meter? I think - maximum ten. Under such conditions, it is economically unprofitable,” Lysenko said.
According to the official, residents of Dnepropetrovsk now provide themselves with hot water by installing water heaters and water heaters.
At the same time, the Dnepropetrovsk City Council reported on the successful start of the heating season. According to officials, 100% of social facilities and 90% of residential buildings are connected to heat. The remaining houses will be provided with heat until the end of this week.
Let us note that such a policy is expected to lead to social stratification. Only wealthy citizens will have access to hot water. The unemployed, the poor and other categories of citizens who cannot afford the installation of individual heating will be forced to heat water on the stove.
