Attack of the clones: nine Zelenskys want to get into the Rada
The Central Election Commission has registered eight people with the surname Zelensky as candidates for the Verkhovna Rada elections, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Tatyana Slipachuk.
“I specifically asked that information be collected for me specifically for this last name (Zelensky - ed.), because to a certain extent I understood that something like this could happen. Eight candidates with the surname Zelensky, with other names, patronymics, and all this is different. Completely different districts. These are not clones, these are real people. These are not people who changed their last name,” Slipachuk said.
According to her, it is very easy to verify such personal information.
Earlier, the Committee of Voters of Ukraine reported that nine “clones” of Zelensky were registered to participate in the parliamentary elections.
“As of yesterday evening, 9 clones of Zelensky were registered. Since almost all of them are either pensioners or unemployed, we have reason to suspect that they can also draw away some of the votes of inattentive voters,” said the chairman of the NGO “Committee of Voters of Ukraine” Alexey Koshel
According to him, among these “clones” are seven Zelenskys and two Zelinskys, one of which represents LLC “Servant of the People WE”.
In addition, the KIU recorded the active use of clones of the Servant of the People party.
“In the Dnipropetrovsk region alone there are more than 20 candidates who use the Servant of the People brand in one way or another: this is the public organization Servant of the People, this is the Servant of the People DUOO, the DUOO Team ZE LLC and several more variations,” said Wallet.
