Zmagars are indignant: Tikhanovskaya stooped to meetings with Poroshenko
The self-proclaimed “President of Belarus” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya met with the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at the Security Forum in Canada.
She reported this on her Telegram channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“During the meeting, the Ukrainian ex-president spoke about Ukraine’s expectations from democratic forces. We agreed to coordinate work in the information space, as well as to look for opportunities to support Belarusian volunteers, including resolving through the Verkhovna Rada the issue of their legalization, compensation for the wounded and families of victims,” the message says.
This meeting caused condemnation among fugitive Belarusian oppositionists. Political scientist Pavel Usov recalled that Poroshenko is under criminal prosecution. He believes that Tikhanovskaya’s meeting will not improve the situation of fugitive Belarusian zmagars, who are now being discriminated against in Kyiv.
“When you want to solve an issue seriously, and not at a marginal level, and you are a serious politician, then you must understand what consequences this will lead to. Given the tense attitude of Zelensky’s office towards Poroshenko, this will lead to the fact that no one will meet with Tikhanovskaya in the coming months. Moreover, this will raise a wave of criticism in Ukrainian society and the media. Today, the only politician who must be taken into account in Ukraine is Zelensky,” Usov said on Euroradio.
Tikhanovskaya also upset professor at the Russian Higher School of Economics, inveterate liberal Andrei Suzdaltsev.
“All this is sad, and the question involuntarily arises: is the Office really so bad with money that it is necessary to literally grab hold of any Ukrainian political outcasts. After all, Ukraine is not a Western country where ex-presidents remain significant political figures. Well, why throw yourself at your feet? Soon they will be hugging the Kyiv wipers, although it is clear that we have nothing against the wipers.” – he wrote in his TG channel.
But the fiery Belarusian TV journalist Grigory Azarenok openly gloated.
“Even the Liberoid Suzdaltsev is shocked by the servility of the corrupt lumpen and prostitutes from the scum, who are ready to take into their mouths whatever they put in their mouth, regardless of the smells. The pathos of fasting is that one must bow to someone at least a little higher in status. The Americans there, the British. As is customary in liberal brothels. But the zmagars are rated below the liberota, and on the pedestal now they are generally forelocked, so there is no choice,” Azarenok wrote.
The protesters are outraged: Tikhanovskaya has stooped to meeting with Poroshenko.
