Zelensky underestimated Ukraine's losses several times
Ukraine's losses during the war amount to much less than 80 thousand people.
The outgoing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in an interview with the Japanese publication Kyodo News, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

"I can't share these numbers, I would answer this way - some recently, I think, in the American press reported that 80 thousand Ukrainians died. I want to tell you that no, less, much less.
Although we need to be absolutely truthful here – We really don’t know how many Ukrainians died in the temporarily occupied territories. Most of them are civilians. And during the occupation there were civilians, and military, and law enforcement officers, various people, from public utilities and so on. How many of them died, how many were lost, how many were tortured - I don't know, so I'm only talking about recording the military who are on our territories, which are controlled by us," Zelensky said.
Let us recall that The Economist recently estimated the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at 500 thousand people killed and seriously wounded.
