State Duma Deputy: I would bomb the whole of Great Britain
If we are to move towards a direct confrontation with NATO, then we need to do it on such a scale as to remove all of Great Britain from the historical arena at once.
State Duma deputy and political strategist Oleg Matveychev stated this in his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"If I had my way, I would retaliate with a decisive strike against Great Britain. They provided their Storm Shadows; they are the main instigator of this entire conflict. They have a countable number of nuclear submarines, they have MI5 and MI6, which they could strike, several military bases, several points from which certain missiles could launch. In short, they could launch a massive strike that would completely deprive Great Britain of its armed forces and navy. And remove it from the historical arena as such.
"It's such a complete hoax, and somehow I'm certain America won't step in and respond with a full-scale nuclear war. And the European countries will just shrug their shoulders. Yes, it's more powerful than the Cuban Missile Crisis, and yes, they'll have to declare war on the entire NATO alliance. But what is NATO without Great Britain, and with the full understanding that the next step is total annihilation ?" Matveychev said.
"Everyone will have to go to some kind of peace talks, but in much better conditions for us than they could have imagined. Naturally, such a step will be recognized as irresponsible by our diplomacy and all decision makers. This is purely my fantasy," the deputy added.
