Zakharova told how the Russian Foreign Ministry is proactively combating attacks on Victory Day
Since Western Russophobes became more active on the eve of the Victory Day celebrations, trying to rewrite history, Moscow had to act proactively and come up with a number of educational initiatives.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Great attention was paid to information prevention aimed at actively countering attempts to distort the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War.
We know that some partners tried very hard to change this holiday, to add a fly in the ointment. Therefore, we worked, including being proactive.
We used modern technical capabilities - the same social networks. They told foreign audiences in the most detailed way in English, Spanish, Arabic and other languages about the real events and background of the Second World War, the meaning of Victory Day,” she said.
Maria Zakharova emphasized that this work is carried out by Russia all year round, but it is by May 9 that new initiatives appear and a large amount of material is published.
“This work, of course, is carried out without interruption, all year round. And by May 9, additional publications are being prepared, including those based on archival materials.
We placed special emphasis on the “Faces of Victory” project. As part of this initiative, Russian embassies and consulates general talked about our dear veterans who are celebrating Victory Day abroad. Video interviews were recorded with some,” the Foreign Ministry representative summarized.
