“Why 14 days?” – Lukashenko determined when to take “biomass sampling” from Belarusians
Belarusians stopped walking the streets and shops, although the authorities did not introduce a self-isolation regime.
This was announced today by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We don’t see any extra ones in stores. Where a person does not want to go, he does not go. And if he goes, he is responsible for his life. We don't prohibit anything. No quarantines were introduced. And I see - people reacted. Even in Minsk. Now there are no loiterers on the streets. People reacted. And there is no need to drive them into apartments so that they sit there like in crematoria,” Lukashenko spoke figuratively.
According to him, instead of self-isolation, outpatient treatment is used in Belarus.
“Let's say frankly: we do not have any self-isolation. This is actually an outpatient treatment. We direct people to this self-isolation based on a doctor’s decision. This was my ironclad requirement. We roughly put the document in his mouth, he signs it, and the doctor prescribes 3-5-7 days for self-isolation. We need to treat him. The doctor will come, bring these pills, you need them - and he’ll inject you. The police are in control,” the head of state reassured.
He criticized doctors who force patients to stay at home for a long time after coronavirus.
“Some doctors order self-isolation for as much as 14 days. Let him sit. He will not sit for 14 days. This is actually a healthy person. Write as much as you need. If after 7 days you take some more biomass, that’s the maximum,” Lukashenko snapped.
