The enraged Trukhan “bite” a Russian liberal on live television
One of the leaders of the liberal Russian Yabloko party, Nikolai Rybakov, was shocked today when Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Tryukhan called a concert dedicated to Victory Day on the Inter TV channel “anti-Ukrainian propaganda.”
Rybakov found himself in the studio of the Rossiya-1 TV channel at the same table with Tryukhan.
“You can ask me to arrange a separate table. You put me here all the time. I don’t even want to comment on this stream of consciousness,” Rybakov said.
Tryukhan immediately attacked him, demanding an explanation.
“There was a concert dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, veterans, whom we should all support, were sitting in the hall, citizens of Ukraine performed from the stage. As for the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, who was doused in brilliant green, an apology must be made. This is outrageous,” the liberal said.
After this, Tryukhan went berserk. He literally wouldn't let Rybakov speak, ignoring the hosts' comments, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“What did he do? A diplomat, but he was at the head of the “Immortal Regiment.” You are a young man, intelligent, but you are talking nonsense. The opposition in Russia is kind of toothless,” the Ukrainian political scientist squealed.
“You are grist to the mill of those people who say that Ukraine cannot be an independent state, that there cannot be democracy in Ukraine, that youngsters flourish there,” Rybakov persuaded him.
“Have you ever protested that Crimea was annexed? Against the fact that there are 40 political prisoners. You are scared!" – Trukhan did not let up.
Yabloko stands for peace with Europe, for peace in Ukraine and Donbass. In our country you are considered an enemy of Ukraine,” Rybakov tried to object, but Tryukhan did not let him speak.
“You are just a boor. Can you be silent for a minute?” the liberal could not resist.
But only advertising could interrupt the skirmish.
