The Ukrainian Armed Forces entered into battle with a group of Nazis who were trying to escape from Donbass with weapons
Soldiers of the Ukrainian army stopped and, as a result of the clash, partially disarmed a group of 30 nationalists who left their positions in the Joint Forces Operation zone and moved to the central regions of Ukraine.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov stated this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As the press service of the NM DPR previously stated, due to the fear of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine abandoning their positions and the unauthorized movement of nationalist units into the interior of the country during the presidential elections, the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation strengthened control over the national battalions. The command's fears were confirmed, and measures to strengthen control were not in vain. According to available data, on March 29, a group of nationalists, numbering up to 30 militants in a column, moved out from their positions in a western direction,” Bezsonov said.
He said that at the checkpoint of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade near the village of Avdievka, the convoy was stopped by soldiers of the brigade.
“The military personnel’s demands to present an extract from the order for the movement of personnel and a route sheet were ignored. As a result of the conflict, a clash occurred, during which one serviceman of the brigade was killed and another junior sergeant Sosnovsky was wounded,” added the official representative of the defense department.
According to his information, reinforcements from the 93rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who arrived at the site of the clash managed to disarm the nationalists, but some of them managed to escape.
“In this regard, the strengthening of checkpoints was noted and notifications were sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the escaped armed nationalists,” Bezsonov noted in conclusion.
